General Rules and Definitions

Welcome to nanoinsight.net. Use of this web site and any of its services constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions of this Agreement between you and the NanoTech Insight Organizing Committee (hereafter NTI), please read through the following terms carefully. NTI may change, add or remove portions of this Agreement at any time, but if it does so, it will post such changes on this page. It is your responsibility to review this Agreement prior to each use of this site, and by continuing to use this site, you agree to any changes.

Privacy Policy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your visit to nanoinsight.net, nanoinsight.org, nanotechinsight.net, nanotechinsight.org to understand our practices.

Nanologin Account Creation and Security

As part of the nanoaccount creation process, you will select a password and a username (nanologin account). To create your account you must provide us with information which is accurate and updated. You may not (1) select or use the username of another person/entity with the intent to impersonate that person/entity; (2) use a username of another person without this person's authorization; (3) otherwise mislead as to the origin of ID or credit card, or other content; or (4) use a username that NTI, in its discretion, deems offensive. Failure to comply with the foregoing shall constitute a breach of this Agreement, which may result in immediate termination of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all usage or activity on your nanologin account, including use of the account by any third party authorized by you to use your username and password. Please give immediate notice to the NTI team of any known or suspected unauthorized use(s) of your account.

Registration Fees and Payments

You shall pay all fees and charges incurred through your account at the rates in effect for the billing period in which such fees and charges are incurred, including, but not limited to charges for any products or services offered for sale on nanoinsight.net, nanoinsight.org, nanotechinsight.net, and/or nanotechinsight.org. All fees and charges plus applicable taxes shall be billed to and paid for by the account holder.

Cancellation of Conference Fees

Conference registration can be cancelled only in writing to NTI by email or fax (email: registration(at)nanoinsight(dot)net, fax: +49180500290621). By agreeing to these terms you certify that all electronic correspondence is deemed to satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing. Conference registrations cancelled on or before January 13th will be entitled to a full refund minus a 50 euro processing fee, conference registrations cancelled after January 13th but before February 16th are entitled to a 50% refund. Registrations cancelled after February 16th will be non-refundable. If you cancel and re-register, your new registration will reflect the current pricing as of the date of your final registration. Earlier registration pricing will not be honored. All lunch and reception tickets are non-refundable. All refunds will be made after the Conference and within two months. "No shows" are non-refundable and are liable for the full registration fee. Instead of canceling, your registration may be substituted by giving a colleague written authorization to attend in your place.

Substitutions

Substitutions may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a participant, please contact NTI at the earliest opportunity. Both parties (both yourself and the new person) should contact NTI in writing agreeing to the substitution. The new participant will be required to complete the on-line registration form and will be billed for all outstanding registration fees. If the new participant incurs any additional registration fees (eg. accompanying persons, changes in accommodation) the fees for such processes at the time of request will be applicable. If the new participant cancels any of the original items you registered for (beg. less accommodation nights, less accompanying persons) you will be charged cancellation fees for this difference based on the schema outlined above.

Accompanying Persons

Registration conditions for payment and cancellation as described above will apply on all Accompanying Persons registrations.

Accommodation Conditions

All rates available from NTI are based on a Bed & Breakfast basis including tax and service charges.

Registrants who have booked their accommodation through the NTI online registration form are subject to the following cancellation policy: If you have chosen (1) the Super Flexi-Rate requires only a one-night deposit. You will receive full refund if you cancel 24 hours or more before scheduled arrival. In case of no show (or less then 24 hour notice), one night will be charged. (2) If you choose the Standard Rate you pay for the full duration of the conference and are allowed to change the dates up to 15 days before arrival. In case of cancellation there is no refund. (3) The Best Rate is the lowest priced room rate, and is only available until the Early Bird Deadline of November 24th. The payment for the full duration must be made, with no change of dates and no refund in case of cancellation. Individuals who have booked their own accommodation are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations. NTI does not accept liability for hotel or travel costs.

Electronic Communications

When you visit nanoinsight.net or contact us by filling our our online form or sign-up for a nanologin account, you are communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by e-mail or by posting notices on the site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and additional communications we provide you with electronically satisfy all legal requirements that such communications be in writing. For nanologin account holders, NTI reserves the right to distribute your contact information to other conference participants. NTI also reserves the right to send electronic mail to all nanologin account holders for the purpose of informing you of changes or additions to the web page, updates for the conference and other related communications. NTI reserves the right to disclose information about your usage and demographics, provided that it will not reveal your personal identity in connection with the disclosure of such information.

Reviews, Comments and Content

Reviews and comments will be posted for all Abstract Submissions by independent members of international research groups worldwide. By accepting this agreement you hereby indemnify NTI for any personal-injury liability which might result from such reviews/and or comments. You acknowledge that any submissions you make to Nanoinsight.net may be edited, removed, published, transmitted, and displayed by NTI in any media and you waive any moral rights you may have in having the material altered or edited in a manner not agreeable to you. You grant NTI the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content is accurate; that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify NTI for all claims resulting from content you supply. NTI takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.

Nanoinsight.net content and Nano account holder submissions

The contents of nanoinsight.net Internet service are intended for your personal, noncommercial use. All materials published on Nanoinsight.net are protected by international copyright, and owned or controlled by Sabry KG. You may not modify, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale of, reproduce, create new works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit, any of the content or the services we provide in whole or in part. You may download or copy content and other downloadable items on the site for personal use only, provided that you maintain all copyright and other notices contained therein. Copying or storing any content for other than personal use is expressly prohibited without prior written permission from NTI. NTI assumes no liability for any of your activities in connection with this site or its services.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by sending an e-mail to: registration(at)nanoinsight(dot)net. Upon termination, you will receive an automated confirmation via e-mail that the request was received, and your access will be suspended within 24 hours. NTI may, in its sole discretion, suspend or discontinue your access to all or part of nanoinsight.net and your nanologin account at any time, without notice or liability.

Liability Disclaimer

You waive and covenant not to assert any claims or allegations of any nature relating to any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of, or in any way connected with, the use of this web site or with the delay or inability to use this web site, or for any information and services obtained through this web site, whether based on contract, strict liability, or otherwise, even if NTI has been advised of the possibility of damages against NTI and Sabry KG. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. Sabry KG is the official representative of the NanoTech Insight Conference Series.
