If you are from the US, Canada, western Europe, or Japan you can buy your visa upon arrival. It is possible for most other tourists and visitors to obtain an entry visa at any of the Major Ports of Entry.
Please check with the nearest Egyptian Consulate for specific details and regulations relevant to your nationality.
Nationals of Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Russia and the United States are partially exempt from Egyptian visa fees and will, therefore, pay a reduced fee.
For those who must obtain their visa prior to arrival we recommend that you apply for your visa 2 to 3 months in advance of your arrival date. Under any condition, it is strongly advisable to check with the Egyptian embassy closest to your current residence.
