Hua Chun Zeng obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Xiamen University in 1982, and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (Surface Science) from the University of British Columbia in 1989 (with Professor Keith A. R. Mitchell). Following postdoctoral work in Surface Photochemistry at the University of Toronto (with Professor John C. Polanyi, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry 1986), he joined the faculty at the National University of Singapore in 1991. His research interests are, at present, focused on the exploration of synthetic architecture for inorganic nanostructures. Professor Hua Chun Zeng is the author of about 125 research papers and reviews in prime chemical and materials journals.
