Dr. Vayssieres is the founder and chief-editor of the International Journal of Nanotechnology, a senior scientist at the International Center for Young Scientists, National Institute for Materials Science in Tsukuba, Japan, a guest scientist at the Chemical Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and a R&D consultant. He has authored several highly cited papers in the fields of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology which have generated a total of over a 1000 citation as well as ranking #1 in the Chemistry Top 10 and #2 in the Materials Science Top 3 hot papers published within the last 5 years. He has presented over 125 lectures at major international conferences, high-ranked universities, as well as national laboratories and companies all over the world. He is the organizer and co-organizer of several symposia for the International Society for Optical Engineering, the American Ceramic Society and the International Union for Pure and Applied Chemistry.
